Annika’s Diary #12
Time has really flown here at Lewis Rodgers and I am now over half way through my Training Contract.
I am still working closely with our Partner Anna Brunt and I continue to work predominantly within the family team.
I have been out at Court a lot over the last few weeks. I have continued to make applications and represent clients on applications for Non Molestation Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Residence Orders, Occupation Orders and Contact Orders. As a result my confidence and abilities within the courtroom are increasing. My recent Court attendances have also helped me a lot with my drafting, and with my communication skills with both clients and other legal professionals.
I have continued to attend the Police Station when we are on Police Station Duty. This has been both in and out of office hours. I am currently in the process of drafting my Portfolio for submission. My Portfolio, must consist of 9 case reports on matters I have observed and dealt with myself at the Police Station when we have been called to attend. The portfolio is one element that must be completed in order for me to become Police Station Accredited.
I am still helping clients within the office as well as out at Court. This week I have had appointments with clients dealing with the issues of harassment, contact, divorce and separation.
